Amicus Curiae by the International Secretariat of FIAN and its national section FIAN Honduras, to the Honorable Court of HOnduras so that it may be considered in the deliberations at the Constitutional Chamber during the appeal of unconstitutionality filed on November 15, 2018.
This document seeks to explain how the Law for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (Legislative Decree 21-2012) violates multiple rights that are recognised in international human rights law and therefore, why it is important that these standards be taken into consideration when ruling on the constitutionality of the Law.
