Portugal becomes 9th State Party to the Optional Protocol

On 28 January 2013, Portugal became the 9th state party to ratify Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR). FIAN International and the International NGO Coalition for the OP-ICESCR welcome this development.  The OP enters into force upon ratification by the 10th state.
