Declaration of the First National Conference on the Right to Adequate Food in Philippines

The National Food Coalition, a network of more than 50 organizations led by FIAN Philippines held a conference entitled “The Right to Adequate Food: A Collective Action for Policy Reform” on February 27-28, 2013.

More than 100 human-rights defenders, social movements and non-governmental organizations from various parts of the country, as well as representatives of different governmental agencies took part in the event. The participants issued a declaration demanding that the government of the Philippines draft and approve a national law on the right to food.
