"" "" In response to the recent wave of land grabbing and plundering, the concentration of land and water in the hands of a few powerful entities, as well as the growing privatization and commoditization of nature, a “Monitoring Tool” was officially launched in Panama City. FIAN International hopes this publication will serve to strengthen resistance movements, and reinforce and broaden the scope of national and international legal frameworks that recognize, respect, protect and guarantee the rights to land and other natural resources of marginalized social groups.
