Joint civil society statement: World Bank forced to admit failings on controversial human rights scandal

After Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) condemned the World Bank's lending arm IFC's (International Finance Corporation) response to the investigation by the Bank's internal watchdog CAO, FIAN welcomed the IFC's renewed response, but addressed it still falls seriously short, due to the highly critical findings about IFC's investment in a palm oil and food company in Honduras associated with land conflicts and extensive human rights abuses in the Bajo Aguán Valley.
