In October, a powerful documentary film "Seeds of discontent" was launched drawing attention to the role of a Swedish investment firm, Dutch pension fund and Norwegian church endowment in land grabbing in Mozambique. The film gives a compelling visual portrait of how investment by private financial players can undermine food security and human rights in developing countries.   Read more Devoting thoughts and energy globally to the right to food Participants at World Yoga Day FIAN International was named beneficiary for World Yoga Day 2013, and made a call-out last February 24, 2013 to participating yoga schools, studios, teachers and students to take part in a 2-hour donation class, with the proceeds going to fund our work. The responses were overwhelming, and FIAN says thank you to more than 7.000 Yogis participating in World Yoga Day 2013.   Read more Using The Global Strategic Framework for Food Security and Nutrition This manual documents some of the most important references and quotes in the Global Strategic Framework for Food Security and Nutrition (GSF) as adopted in its first version in October 2012 by the Committee on World Food Security.
