Right to Food Journal Vol. 8 2013 is launched!

The Right to Food Journal, Vol. 8, published in October 2013, has tackled important developments taking place nationally and internationally at the right to food level, and has organized some relevant cases in eight articles in various topics.

Including, there are the articles on the new Global Network on the Right to Food and Nutrition and the Vienna+20 Declaration, which exalt the need to demand an accountable political framework to address the right to food and nutrition under the human rights perspective.

Simultaneously, articles on the Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and the Rights for Peasants declare the significance of advocating for improved international human rights tools.

At the national level, we have the case of India and the achievements of its National Food Security Act; Philippines mobilizing towards the development of a National Right to Food Framework; in Colombia, work with peasant women to achieve their human rights; and Uganda, where a lawsuit of more than 11 years meets and end ordering compensation to more than 2.000 evictees of a coffee plantation.
