Fact Sheet Dec.2013: Guarani-Kaiowá, Brazil

This fact sheet describes the story of the Guarani-Kaiowá Indigenous peoples of Brazil, who, like many others throughout all over Latin America, have faced a long history of exploitation, discrimination and exclusion in areas such as access to land, health care, education and political participation. This sheet also notes the human rights violations they have suffered for decades, causing many communities to live in abject poverty and suffer hunger and malnutrition after being expelled from their ancestral lands.
