On October 16, 2007 - on the occasion of the World Food Day, FIAN launched a European Campaign Face It Act Now with an international press conference in the European Parliament in Brussels (Belgium). The press conference took place on October 15, 2007 and we were pleased to have with us Prof. Jean Ziegler, UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food and Dr. Flavio Luiz Schieck Valente, Secretary General of FIAN International. Accompanied by street theatre and music, the multilingual exhibition “Fighting Hunger with Human Rights”, showing different people being actively engaged in the fight for the Right to Food was presented.
