Some lessons learnt

The publication "Advancing the Right to Adequate Food at the National Level. Some Lessons Learned", produced by Martin Wolpold-Bosien of FIAN International in 2009, synthesizes some of the experiences made by the organization during its more than 20 years of action in the defense and promotion of the right to adequate food.

It is directed both to individuals of the civil society and to public officials who seek to advance the right to food from their own field of expertise at the national level.

The publication consists of three chapters dealing the following issues: the relation between hunger/malnutrition and the associated human rights-based actions; conceptual and practical aspects of strategies and alliances; and the interaction between the national and international dimensions toward the application of the right to food at the national level in the context of globalization.

Elaborated by Martin Wolpold-Bosien with the collaboration of Rolf Künnemann and Flavio Valente
