The right to food is one of the most widely violated human rights. Although e nough food is produced to feed the world, it is estimated that more than 850 million people in the world suffer from hunger and malnutrition. Only a small percentage can be attributed to natural catastrophes or civil wars. The vast majority suffer from chronic hunger in everyday life.
In order to fight right to food violations, FIAN has structured its work into different programme areas. All of our work is mainstreamed by a dual track gender approach.
